Google Drive for Mac/PC shutting down on May 12, 2018

The legacy Google Drive desktop sync application will stop working on May 12, 2018.
Since January 30, pop-up notifications from Google have appeared in accounts using Drive for
Mac/PC with instructions on how to install Drive File Stream. Chances are you have already
installed the updated desktop sync client. If you have not, you should do so prior to the scheduled
shutdown.

Services affected: Google Drive for Mac/PC (optional software).

Services NOT affected: Google Drive via the Web (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, IE),
Google Drive File Stream, Backup & Sync.

What is being done: Google is shutting down Drive for Mac/PC.

When is this taking place: Saturday, May 12, 2018.

What you need to do: Download Google Drive File Stream.
